INTRODUCTION:
Isokan Local Government was carved out of the old Irewole Local Government Area. It is located with two principal towns of Apomu, the headquarters and Ikoyi, a few meters from Ibadan-Ife expressway. It is on the south fringe of Osun State. It is bounded in the north east by Irewole Local Government, in the east by Ayedaade Local Government and in the south by the Ijebu East Local Government of Gun State. In the west it share boundary with the west it shares boundary with the Asejire bridge on the Osun State. The Local Government can be described as a gateway to Osun State.
 The local government has 500 villages and hamlets. It is structured into 11 electoral wards. |
